Daniel Tafelski is Special Assistant in the Chairman’s Office at the Munich Security Conference (MSC).

Prior to joining the MSC, Daniel studied in Beijing, Berkeley and Berlin, earning a Master of Law in China Studies as a Yenching Scholar at Peking University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of California, Berkeley. He has worked in the European and German Parliaments, as well as for PwC’s Public Sector Consulting practice and KPMG’s Global Strategy Group.

He is particularly interested in EU-China relations, China’s political economy and European foreign policy coherence. Daniel speaks Chinese, English and German.
