Julius Schenkel is a Project Manager at the Munich Security Conference. Previously he was a Communications Project Assistant.

Prior to joining the MSC, he studied in Heidelberg, Shanghai, Taiwan and Eichstätt, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sinology and a master’s degree in International Relations. He has completed internships at Deutsche Welle, the German Chamber of Commerce in Beijing and the German Embassy in Hanoi, among others. He is particularly interested in Chinese foreign policy and how (national) identities shape foreign policy decision making. He speaks Chinese, English and German.
