Lorenz Klingele is Assistant to the CEO at the Munich Security Conference. Before joining the MSC, he worked at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, has been a news anchor for the public broadcaster SWR, and held a position at the European Parliament. In addition to his role at the MSC, Lorenz is currently undergoing training as a reserve officer in the German Navy.

He holds a Master of Science in European Governance from Utrecht University and a Master of Arts in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz.
