Marcel Lewicki

Director of Partnerships and Development

    Marcel Lewicki serves as Director of Partnerships and Development at the Munich Security Conference (MSC). He is responsible for the strategic development and management of MSC’s partnerships and leads its fundraising activities. Lewicki and his team coordinate more than one hundred side events taking place at the yearly conference, covering a wide variety of topics and showcasing important discussions on an international stage. Previously, Lewicki served as head of strategic partnerships, as well as project coordinator for MSC activities around the world.

    His previous experience includes stints at the German Institute for International and Security Studies (SWP)’s Russia/CIS Division, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Caucasus Regional Office, and the BBC. He has worked extensively in and on central and eastern Europe, including in Ukraine, where he led a project exploring the country’s place in Europe, as well as in Belarus, Poland, and Georgia. Lewicki studied international relations, international law, and Near and Middle Eastern studies in Munich, Germany; Montréal, Canada; and Tbilisi, Georgia. He received a scholarship of the Conférence des recteurs et des principaux des universités du Québec, and is an Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow.
