Sara-Sumie Yang is CFO/CHRO at the Munich Security Conference. She is also member of the board of directors of the Munich Security Conference Foundation.

Her current focus topics include organizational development, change management as well as people, team and leadership development.

Sara has been with MSC since 2011 and held various positions: She worked closely with Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger as Head of the Chairman’s Office for nearly 7 years.  She thereby contributed to the conceptual and operational planning and organization of MSC’s numerous activities and projects well as the organization’s strategic development. Moreover, she organized MSC events abroad (formerly “Core Group Meetings”) and lead MSC’s digital communications team.

Previously, she worked for Allianz SE and the United Nations Secretariat in New York.

Sara studied Political Science and International Relations at Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, and Free University, Berlin. She holds an M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University, New York.
