The Future of Defense Manufacturing & Innovation
Thursday, February 13, 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Hosted by US Defense Innovation Unit and Munich Security Conference.
Supported by the Boston Consulting Group and powered by Resilience Media.
“The Future of Defense Manufacturing & Innovation” is a one-day innovation and technology forum immediately preceding the Munich Security Conference on February 13, 2025. The recent conflicts have shown that emerging technologies, namely autonomous systems (i.e. drones), will have a greater role in future conflicts. Moreover, crippling events like the war in Ukraine, COVID, and trade disputes have highlighted the vulnerability of defense manufacturing, supply chains, and the shortcomings of Western countries in increasing military production when shocks occur.
This event will convene leaders from the military, government, industry, venture capital, and the startup tech sector to examine how NATO and Allies approach manufacturing of future defense technologies quickly and at scale. It seeks to examine vulnerabilities within the context of recent crises and future scenarios, while exploring the varied aspects of past public-private partnerships, the impact of the latest technologies (e.g., in Ukraine), and what will be required for stakeholders to be successful in the near future.
Thursday, February 13, 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
