Munich Security Conference 2025
While international decision-makers will once again meet in Munich this year, numerous events for the public will take place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The public events offer the general public the opportunity to follow and participate in the debates of the Munich Security Conference at first hand. The focus of the events will be on current issues such as the "Zeitenwende" in German security policy and the need for innovation in the field of digital and information technology, as well as the link between security policy and culture.
The public events are often organized with partners such as the chamber ensemble of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, the Literaturhaus München or the Bundeswehr Cyber Innocvation Hub.
The following events will be offered to the public as part of the 61st Munich Security Conference. Please note varying information on registration.
In addition to on-site participation, there will be live streams for selected events.

Security and Literature Series meets “ZEIT Gespräch on tour”
The series focuses on the relationship between literature and politics. By which means can literature gauge security and stability in society.

MSC Innovation Night
High-level politicians and innovative thought leaders come together for an exciting, open and unique dialogue on the eve of the conference.

MSC Concert
The traditional MSC Concert featuring the chamber ensemble of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and a panel discussion in the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche.

MSC Cinema
On three evenings of the MSC Cinema at the ASTOR Film Lounge in ARRI, films on various aspects of foreign and security policy will be shown.

Zeitenwende on tour in München

Conflicts, crises, wars: the world is experiencing destabilization. How must we shape our foreign and security policy in order to preserve democracy, freedom, the rule of law and prosperity in our country and in Europe? What must we do to defend the security of Germany and our allies?

MSC Innovation Night 2025

The Bundeswehr Cyber Innovation Hub, in cooperation with the MSC, is proud to host the MSC Innovation Night 2025 for the eighth consecutive year. This event will bring together decision-makers, innovators, and thought leaders from around the globe. The goal is to foster dialogue, collaboration, and modernization in critical areas of security and defense. This year’s theme is “Scale UP & Double DOWN – Cross-Amplifying Defense Innovation and Alliance Resilience.”

The MSC Security and Literature Series is an integral part of the Munich Security Conference. As in previous years, we expect prominent international authors, leaders from around the world and fascinating debates. All events will be held in English. Day 1 – "Press Freedom and Global Security"
On the first day, the focus will be on freedom of the press, especially in autocratic systems.

The event will show an exclusive series of film screenings focused on key geopolitical conflicts and their global impact. It offers a unique opportunity to explore pressing international challenges through compelling storytelling and gain deeper insights into the complexities behind global conflicts and crises.
On Day 1 we will explore the systematic challenges facing the Democratic Republic of Congo, its broader geopolitical implications, and its untapped potential despite its immense natural resource wealth.

The first day of the TUM Speakers Series x MSC will feature Sir Nick Clegg, Deputy Chairman and President of Meta, as speaker.
The event will explore the technological, geopolitical and ethical dimensions that are shaping the future of innovation. Key topics will include Meta's role in innovation and AI as well as the company's transformation from a social media company to a leading hardware and AI company with its unique open source approach.

This event will provide a platform to explore the unique contributions of women-led movements in addressing contemporary global security challenges. Through dialogue among high-level leaders, policymakers, activists, and experts, the discussion will explore how the strategies and lessons of these movements can inform broader efforts to strengthen democratic governance and promote resilience. By recognizing and amplifying the impact of women-led movements, this event seeks to inspire more innovative and inclusive approaches to counter growing challenges posed by authoritarianism.
