60 Days to Go: Munich Security Conference 2024

In 60 days, the Munich Security Conference (MSC) will once again assemble key decision-makers from around the world for three days of intense debates.

  • The 60th edition of the MSC comes at a time of great international upheaval and the list of topics to be discussed is longer than ever. Against this background, we are expecting a particularly prominent and relevant conference.
  • Around 700 participants from more than 120 countries will be represented at the MSC 2024 which will be the most regionally diverse conference to date.
  • Please note: Media representatives should complete accreditation until January 23.
  • Save the date: The Munich Security Report 2024 will be launched at the Federal Press Conference in Berlin on February 12.

The Munich Security Conference 2024

The first Munich Security Conference (MSC) — also known as Wehrkunde Tagung or Münchner Konferenz für Sicherheitspolitik — was hosted by Ewald von Kleist in the fall of 1963. Much has changed since then. But while the MSC has had to evolve with the shifting security situation, its objective has remained unchanged: In line with its original motto “peace through dialogue”, the MSC continues to strive to bring relevant actors from all across the world together to engage with each other on the most pressing security challenges of the day.

From February 16 to 18, the MSC will assemble high-ranking decision-makers and experts, including heads of state and government, ministers, and diverse voices from international organizations, civil society, and the private sector for its 60th edition.

We are delighted by the enormous interest in our conference, including from countries that have not attended before. As transatlantic relations remain fundamentally important, we are also looking forward to once again welcoming a substantial delegation from the United States to the upcoming conference.

The Munich Security Report 2024

The Munich Security Report (MSR) 2024, the traditional scene-setter for the debates in Munich, will be launched at the Federal Press Conference on February 12 at 10 a.m. The event will be held in German and will be streamed on our website as well as on our Twitter and YouTube accounts. The report and accompanying materials will be available for download on the MSC website from February 12. Please contact us if you are interested in exclusive access to specific aspects of the MSR ahead of the official launch. Content referring to the new edition of our Munich Security Report will be tagged with #MSCreport.
