
Controversial debate about proposals towards advancing the solution of the Ukraine crisis
Ahead of the Munich Security Conference 2020, the Euro-Atlantic Security Leadership Group (EASLG) stressed the need for a political solution of the Ukrainian crisis. In a joint statement, the group suggested "Twelve Steps Toward Greater Security in Ukraine and the Euro-Atlantic Region". The proposal received criticism issued by the Atlantic Council as well as by Ukrainian alumni of the Munich Young Leaders program.
At the Munich Security Conference 2020, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky shared his perspective on current political challenges. Adding to the debate, the Atlantic Council issued a paper criticizing this particular report. Lateron, the Atlantic Council published a statement in which it explicitly welcomes further contributions to the debate.
