Munich Security Conference hosts Digital Conversation between German and US legislators
In cooperation with the Atlantic Council, the Munich Security Conference brought together legislators from the United States and Germany for a virtual discussion on transatlantic relations and economic recovery post-COVID-19.
On June 11, 2020, the Munich Security Conference (MSC), in collaboration with the Atlantic Council, hosted an MSC Digital Conversation between US and German legislators on the transatlantic partnership. Representatives of the German Bundestag and the US Congress came together for an off-the-record discussion. The event focused on challenges to and opportunities for joint transatlantic action in addressing the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also touched upon the broader need to redefine the strained transatlantic partnership.
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the Munich Security Conference has created a new event format: the MSC Digital Conversations. Here, decision-makers and experts regularly discuss challenges and possible solutions to security implications emerging from the COVID-19 crisis as well as other pressing issues.
