Munich Security Conference (MSC) and Women Political Leaders (WPL) sign a Memorandum of Understanding
The MoU, signed during the Munich Security Conference by Benedikt Franke, Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO of MSC, Silvana Koch-Mehrin, President and Founder of WPL, and Obiageli "Oby" Katryn Ezekwesili, Chair of the WPL Board, seeks to promote women's voices in the field of international security.
The collaboration between the two organisations aims to leverage the MSC's activities through inclusion in events, sharing networks and expertise, for mutual benefit. The parties plan to jointly promote women’s views in the fields of peace and security, defence, diplomacy and foreign policy, and encourage more women to explore careers in these areas.
“We’re proud to enrich our Women Parliamentarians Program through the cooperation with Women Political Leaders. Establishing more female leaders in the field of geopolitical and international security adds to MSC’s ambition to bring together all voices aiming to solve the most pressing issues of today,” said Benedikt Franke, Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO of MSC, highlighted during the signing session.
